Our Mission

The Friends of Athens Creative Theatre (FACT) supports the financial and logistical needs of all activities of Athens Creative Theatre (ACT), such as:

  • We purchase set pieces and other expenses the Theatre would otherwise be unable to afford.
  • We coordinate and work concessions for ACT productions.
  • We fund advertising for ACT productions and provide community outreach.

Our History

FACT has been in existence since 1978.  Although our purpose has always been to support ACT, our role changed in 2007, when it was decided that money from ACT ticket sales would no longer be put back into ACT’s budget.  Today, with a fixed budget, ACT needs our help more than ever.

FACT is proud to support the consistently excellent programs brought to the greater Athens community by ACT.  FACT’s Board meets once per quarter, and we welcome new members!
